Welding Procedure and Welder Certification for Companies
Welding procedure qualification is performed in accordance with international standards (e.g., EN ISO 15614). It carries indefinite validity and remains the property of your company.
Welder/operator certification follows the requirements of other standards (e.g., EN ISO 9606 / ISO 14732). The welder’s name appears on the certificate, which is valid for 3 years.Procedure and welder certification are essential steps for aligning your organization with EN ISO 9001, EN 1090, EN ISO 3834, etc. Holding these certifications will significantly improve product quality and provide a competitive advantage in your market.
Steps required to complete certification
- Development and issuance of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) by the Hellenic Welding Company.
- Welding of test coupons to specified dimensions in the presence of our inspector.
- Destructive and non-destructive testing in an accredited laboratory per the applicable standards. Our company manages the entire process end-to-end.
- Certification of procedures and welders and issuance of the corresponding certificates.
Welder Certification for Individuals
Looking to obtain a Welder Certification for work in Greece or abroad?
Our company fully manages all actions required to issue an Internationally Recognized Welder Certificate. Certification can be based on all major International and American codes (ISO 9606, AWS, ASME, etc.) and is supported by our own qualified Welding Procedure (WPQR).
Test welding is performed at our fully equipped welding laboratories in Perama (Athens) and Thessaloniki, or at your premises provided the necessary equipment is available.
No formal welding school diploma is required; successful, standard-compliant welding of the test coupon is sufficient. Certificate issuance typically takes about 8 working days from the test-weld date.Contact us:
